In 1987 Gaby and Gary Bateman came to West Virginia to go white water rafting. While we were here we found a horseback outfitter and went on an over night horseback ride into the New River Gorge. Little did we know at the time, that we were the outfitters first paying guests. After that first ride we fell in love with the Gorge and horseback outfitting.

Now after 20 years of helping the first outfitter and owning our own outfitter business, we have become one of the best horseback outfitters in the east. Over the years we have developed our own training techniques for the horses making them some of the most easy going and gentle horses you will ever meet. Because of this we can take children as young as 6yrs old on their first horseback riding adventure. Our guides are hand picked for their people skills and then we teach them our special techniques for working with the horses and the trail rides. All of the guides have CPR and 1st Aid as a minimum. I am an advanced medical instructor for the National Ski Patrol and West Virginia Professional Outfitter and Professional Ski Patroller at Snowshoe Mountain. Our lead guide is an EMT.
